Tea & Ingredients

Are your teas certified organic?+
Our blends are made with organic ingredients, including organic teas, herbs, fruits, and botanicals. Pixel Leaf products are not currently certified organic as finished packaged products, so we describe them as made with organic ingredients rather than certified organic.
Do your teas contain artificial ingredients?+
No artificial ingredients, ever. Where you see “Natural Flavor” on our labels, that refers to flavoring derived from real botanical or food sources—nothing synthetic.
Are Pixel Leaf teas gluten-free?+
Yes. None of our current blends contain gluten-containing ingredients. However, we recommend checking the label for your specific blend, especially if you have a severe sensitivity.
Does any blend contain allergens?+
Soft Reset uses organic hibiscus, which is intercropped with peanuts in some growing regions. As a result, this product may contain trace amounts of peanut shells or fragments. All other blends are free from common allergens, but always read the label before brewing.
Where do your ingredients come from?+
We source from organic suppliers across multiple regions. Our teas originate from established tea-growing countries, while botanicals like hibiscus, rose, and lemon balm come from specialty organic farms. All blends are assembled and packaged in the USA.

Category 02

Caffeine

How much caffeine is in each blend?+
Caffeine levels depend on the base tea used.

Soft Reset (White Tea): Low—roughly 15–30mg per 8oz serving.
Going Gold (Oolong + Hojicha): Medium—roughly 30–55mg per serving.
Tropical Horde (Green Tea): Medium—roughly 25–45mg per serving.

Exact levels vary based on steep time and water temperature.
Which blend has the least caffeine?+
Soft Reset has the lowest caffeine level of our current launch blends. It uses organic white tea as its base, which is naturally lower in caffeine than green, oolong, or black teas.
Is there a caffeine-free option?+
Our current lineup doesn’t include a fully caffeine-free blend, but Soft Reset is the lightest option. We’re working on future blends that will explore herbal and caffeine-free territory.
Can I drink Pixel Leaf tea in the evening?+
Soft Reset was specifically designed as a wind-down tea. Its low caffeine content and calming botanicals—rose, chamomile, and lemon balm—make it a great choice for quiet evenings. That said, caffeine sensitivity varies, so your mileage may vary.

Brewing

How do I brew loose-leaf tea?+
Add 1 teaspoon of loose-leaf tea per 6–8oz of hot water. Steep for the recommended time based on the blend, then strain and enjoy. You can use a tea infuser, strainer, or any brewing vessel you prefer.
What water temperature should I use?+
Soft Reset (White Tea): 175°F / 80°C — delicate leaves, keep it gentle.
Going Gold (Oolong): 195°F / 90°C
Tropical Horde (Green Tea): 195°F / 90°C

If you don’t have a thermometer, let boiling water sit for 1–2 minutes before steeping.
How long should I steep each blend?+
Soft Reset: 2–3 minutes. Going Gold: 3–5 minutes. Tropical Horde: 4–5 minutes. Longer steep times increase caffeine extraction and can intensify flavor—adjust to your taste.
Can I make iced tea with Pixel Leaf blends?+
Absolutely. All three blends work beautifully iced. Tropical Horde especially shines over ice. To cold-brew, simply use cold water and steep in the refrigerator for 6–8 hours. For a quicker option, brew double-strength hot and pour over ice.
How do I use the pyramid sachets?+
Just drop one sachet into 6–8oz of hot water and steep for the recommended time. The pyramid shape allows the leaves to fully expand inside the sachet, so you get a proper full-leaf steep without any loose leaf mess.
What are your pyramid sachets made from?+
Our pyramid sachets are made from biodegradable, corn-based PLA and are free from microplastics. Their spacious pyramid shape allows the tea leaves to fully expand for a better brewing experience.
Can I resteep the leaves?+
Yes! Higher-quality teas like oolong (Going Gold) often reveal different flavor notes on a second steep. White and green teas can handle a second steep but will be lighter in flavor. Add 1–2 minutes to the steep time for each subsequent infusion.
Do I need special equipment?+
Not at all. Our pyramid sachets brew just like traditional tea bags. For loose leaf, all you need is a tea infuser or teapot.
